champagne taste on a beer budget...

I thought I'd share some kitchenware and bedding that's geared more to those of us who design on a dime. These are just two of my favorites when it comes to affordable kitchens and bedding!

#1

CB2.com is a great affordable home decor website. They offer a variety of products for every room in your house!

Here are just few of my favorites for the kitchen. Their dish sets come in irregular shapes that can add a little pizazz to any kitchen table.

"Brain Freeze" ice tray...how clever!
They have a great selection of bedding that includes duvet's, quilts, and throws, as well as furniture.

#2

In my opinion you can never go wrong with Target! They have everything a girl could ever want at prices everyone can afford! Here are some of my favorite picks from their home lines.

Round plates are such a bore...

Comforters from the DwellStudio for Target collection. The variety of colors and patterns are sure to spice up any room!

"You can have as many duvets as you have lovers" ~DVF

Fashion design was not the only thing in the spotlight this past week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. One of my all time favorite designers, Diane von Furstenberg, launched her home collection and I immediately fell in love! The Ready to Wear Home collection features bedding and kitchen pieces in a variety of her signature prints.

The irregular shapes, bold colors, and intrepid patterns captured my heart. The kitchenware is urban and eclectic, allowing for endless possibilities. The line also features beautiful bakeware that you can take straight form the oven to the table with style. In the words of the fabulous Diane von Furstenberg, designing your home is designing your life, and the Ready to Wear Home collection definitely makes that possible!

When I visited Las Vegas 2 years ago this architectural marvel was still under construction. I could tell that something amazing was unfolding behind all the scaffolding. On our daily stoles down the strip I couldn’t help but stare and wonder what was going on inside, and knew that once it was finished I would definitely have to check it out. Though I’ve not made it back to Vegas, last weeks episode of The Bachelor gave me a sneak peak, and needless to say, it’s amazing.

Here's a short clip from the architect on how his concepts, ideas, and passion shaped the most innovative resort-casino the Las Vegas Strip has ever seen.

The exterior is what originally drew me to the building(s). ARIA is just one many buildings that make up the CityCenter.

On the episode of the Bachelor that I mentioned, Brad takes Shawntel on a shopping spree. Let's just say the other girls on the trip weren't the only jealous ones.

The interiors are very modern, which is something that's not seen a whole lot in Vegas' themed resorts.

Brrrr...It's cold outside!

With the below freezing temperatures outside and all this beautiful snow piling up around us, I find it only appropriate to share with you some of my favorite cozy interiors.

I would love to be snuggled into this bed with a good book and a glass of wine. Not only is the open corner fireplace a beautiful design element but the rich chocolate hues used in this space are warm and inviting.

These contemporary spaces prove that modern can still be comfortable.

This is hands down my most favorite! The two sided fireplace allows it to be enjoyable from two different rooms, and the turquoise mosaic tile emphasizes this amazing element creating a beautiful focal point.

And this right here my friends is a wonderful solution for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have a real fire place! It uses bio-ethanol fuel which has an eco-friedly burn, and you can put it anywhere you please. Check them out at brasafire.com!
